The Esthetics Course is 500 clock hours and takes approximately three months to complete.
Unit
1: Pre-Clinic/Freshman Extension The
pre-clinic unit is composed of laboratory "hands-on"
classes consisting of facials, massage techniques, skin treatments,
make-up application, eye lash and brow tinting as well as temporary
hair removal.
Unit
2: Sophomore The
development of the proficiencies in the pre-clinic level classes
are advanced. Clinic/lab practices on mannequins, models and clients
are further continued. Academic classes related to facial bone
and body structures, skin disorders, diseases and anatomy are
introduced.
Unit
3: Junior Emphasis
is applied to the practical application of services on clients with
attention to skill, speed and accuracy. Knowledge and development of
advanced skin treatments are explored during this unit.
Unit
4: Senior Senior
classes are designed to show new skin care methods, techniques and
products. Development of individual interests and preparation for employment
are emphasized. Academic classes are reviewed to prepare the
student for the written Board of Cosmetology Examination.

Ecology.
