Biggest contributions to Phagans C.O.B.C From
the time I started working with Phagans’ I wanted to create a more scheduled,
structured learning environment for students.I have had a huge impact on the curriculum planning and
changes.We have changed our curriculum
and class schedules many time from starting students once a month, then tried
every 7 weeks, then every 2 weeks then every 4 weeks, and now every 3
weeks.Each time we changed our
start dates the curriculum needed to be changed, each time we were able to do
so with a fairly smooth transition.I am proud to say I helped in this area a lot, planning lessons and
schedules.
I
was the person who implemented marathon days, wanting each student to be able
to know how much money and clients it would take to make that money to survive
in the professional world.Once we
had the format for that day the owners of Phagans’ decided to donate proceeds
of that day to charity.Marathon
Day’s have now donatedthousands
of dollars to charities such as Red Cross, Boys and Girls Clubs, Breast Cancer
Awareness, and Missing and Exploited Children.
I
have also contributed to the building of a very strong clinic floor where
students learn how to use their business skills so when they enter the
professional world they will know what it takes to make a good living.I have boosted retail sales at the
school hoping to ensure students are learning that educating their clients in
home maintenance is key to having return customers. It makes sense that the students are investing in their
future by educating the customers to invest in themselves.
